Description

The Peter Gläsel Foundation honors schools in East Westphalia-Lippe with the Career Choice SEAL that implement outstanding concepts for study and career orientation. Participating educational institutions – ranging from special needs and comprehensive schools to grammar schools as well as secondary modern, intermediate, secondary, and combined schools in the districts of Bielefeld, Gütersloh, Herford, Höxter, Lippe, Minden-Lübbecke, and Paderborn – demonstrate their commitment through a multi-stage process. After submitting the completed SEAL criteria catalog, the schools undergo expert evaluation, an on-site audit, and final feedback from the jury. Awarded institutions receive a plaque and are entitled to proudly display the seal for a period of three years to showcase their above-average achievements and remain visible for future projects.

For successful participation, schools must meet the requirements for study and career orientation defined in the criteria catalog and confirm their location in North Rhine-Westphalia. The funding period is 36 months, during which continuous development and exchange among the certified schools are promoted. Submissions are possible from August 24, 2026; the fully completed criteria catalog suffices as the application document. This award sets impulses for innovation in career orientation and supports educational institutions in sustainably guiding young people on their path to higher education or into their careers.
