Description
Education Voucher – German enables migrants with low to intermediate German language skills in Carinthia to receive direct financial support for acquiring language proficiency. A one-time grant of up to €100 is provided for the costs of a successfully completed ÖIF-certified German exam. A positive decision requires proof of main residence in Carinthia as well as passing the exam within the period from January 1 to December 31 of the respective calendar year. Exam fees that have already been subsidized by other public bodies are excluded from funding. Applications can be submitted at any time and are reviewed based on submitted original receipts and proof of payment.
For the application, among other documents, the exam certificate, the current registration certificate, and the original receipt of the exam fees must be submitted. Optionally, a power of attorney with the registration certificate of the authorized representative can be attached if payment is to be made to a third party. The Department of Society and Integration of the Carinthian State Government processes each submission in an unbureaucratic manner and with personal responsibility. The grant promotes linguistic integration and provides participants with easier access to education, employment, and social participation. The continuous allocation without a fixed deadline ensures flexible use of this offer throughout the entire calendar year.
