Funding objective

Description

The ongoing funding in the area of recreational and health sports in Carinthia supports Carinthian sports clubs, sports associations, and municipalities in establishing health-promoting and inclusive movement programs. As a recognized grant model, funds are available indefinitely to non-profit organizations, interest groups, clubs, and public institutions. Projects, events, and ongoing programs that enrich leisure offerings, increase physical activity among the population, and strengthen health prevention in the regions are purposefully supported. Applications can be submitted at any time, enabling both short-term initiatives and long-term planning projects. A prerequisite is compliance with the Carinthian Sports Act 1997 and the sports guidelines for recreational and health sports, as well as having headquarters and status as a Carinthian institution.

Among others, trial days for families, movement therapy courses for all age groups, and intergenerational sports soirées are funded. Applicants submit a properly formatted application together with the completed funding application form and provide the funding commitment. The process is conducted transparently through the state authorities, which ensure through regular evaluations that the funds are used appropriately and have a sustainable impact. This funding opportunity is particularly aimed at committed officials, trainers, and volunteer structures who promote joy of movement and health in their municipality or club.
