Description
The budget funding in the area of social compensation is aimed at non-profit organizations, associations, interest groups, public institutions, and private individuals in Vienna. With a continuously open submission window, the program supports projects that empower victims of crime and violence through expert counseling, care, and psychosocial support. It also promotes the representation of interests of German-speaking expellees in Austria, the scholarly examination of persecution during the Nazi era, as well as the medical and social support of Austrian (Jewish) Nazi victims and their relatives. The form of funding provided is a non-repayable grant, intended to ensure sustainably effective assistance services and to raise societal awareness of historical and current victim needs.
For a grant award, proof of the state-historical significance of scientific documentation and analysis is required.
