Description

The Federal-State Initiative Digital Teaching and Learning – Module B is aimed at companies and educational institutions in Germany that wish to advance scientific research projects in the field of data- and AI-supported teaching. Funding is provided for projects that develop formative assessments, employ tutorial-supported feedback systems, or support learners individually over extended periods. Additionally, investigations into the targeted use of competency and performance data are a focus, as are scientific analyses aimed at relieving teachers, designing innovative instructional arrangements, and creating digital tasks and examinations. Project outlines can be submitted via the electronic application portal easy-Online until 20.07.2026. The planned project duration spans 46 months and allows for a project start from 01.04.2027.

The funding, in the form of a non-repayable grant, is provided by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Seniors, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) within the framework of DigitalPakt 2.0. Interested research institutions, universities, and companies thus have the opportunity to develop novel teaching and learning technologies, evaluate them in practice, and integrate them evidence-based into teacher education. By bundling interdisciplinary competencies, pioneering solutions are to be created that make a sustainable contribution to the digital transformation of the educational landscape. The cross-module initiative ensures intensive exchange between science, industry, and practice, thereby promoting nationwide evidence-based quality development in digital teaching and learning.
