Description

The German Cultural Landscape Award of the German Foundation for Cultural Landscape honors outstanding initiatives for the preservation and sustainable development of the agriculturally shaped cultural landscape in Germany. With a total endowment of €10,000, the award recognizes projects that balance ecological, economic, social, and cultural aspects. The ceremonial presentation takes place during the International Green Week in Berlin and is aimed at actors from rural areas who present exemplary solutions for resource-compatible land management. A distinguished jury seeks role models that inspire courage to pursue innovative paths of regional development, thereby creating long-term added value for nature and society.

Eligible applicants include individuals, associations, federations, as well as companies and non-profit organizations whose headquarters or project activities are located within Germany.
