A total prize fund of €10,000 is available. Awarded are initiatives that integrate ecological, economic, and social aspects and serve as transferable models for other activities in rural areas. This funding award promotes forward-looking contributions to strengthening cultural landscapes and sustainably supports the equivalence of living conditions between urban and rural areas.

Eligible to participate are individuals, agricultural enterprises, landscape management and citizen associations, as well as nature conservation and agricultural organizations based in Germany. Applications require a concrete project in the field of cultural landscape preservation. Evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, sustainability dimensions (ecological, economic, social), and transferability as a model for comparable initiatives.
