Description
The investment subsidy supports maintenance work on common building components of multi-apartment buildings in Vienna and thus makes a significant contribution to permanently securing health protection, operational capability, and quality of living. Eligible applicants are private individuals as well as companies representing apartment owners or property management of multi-apartment buildings as defined by the Tenancy Law. The subsidy, in the form of a direct grant, is continuously available and can be applied for at any time, provided the property is located in Vienna and the measures do not pertain to the thermal building envelope.
Expenditures aimed at preventing health hazards, ensuring the operation of communal facilities, or including legally required installations for monitoring and reducing energy consumption are eligible for funding. Also eligible are the restoration of vacant apartments, the remediation of serious building damages, and economically justifiable measures to reduce energy consumption. Up to 10% of the construction costs of the maintenance work may be allocated to minor improvement measures. A prerequisite for approval is the professional execution of repair and maintenance work on the common building components. The Municipal Department 50 – Housing Subsidies and Arbitration Office for Housing Law Matters processes all applications and provides advice on funding requirements, scope of funding, and submission formalities. Interested owners and property managers can obtain all necessary forms and further information on the application process via the City of Vienna’s online administrative assistant platform.
