Description
Integration Subsidy is a time-limited grant for Austrian companies that covers part of the wages and wage-related costs when hiring long-term unemployed individuals or those at risk of long-term unemployment. The objective of this funding is to increase labor market participation and reduce unemployment. Applications can be submitted via the eAMS account before the employment relationship begins and are valid nationwide until the funding volume is exhausted. All companies are eligible for funding – except AMS, the federal government, political parties, clubs of political parties, and radical associations. Employees eligible for funding must be registered as unemployed with AMS and meet one of the following criteria: over 50 years old, under 25 years old with at least six months of unemployment registration, persons aged 25 or older with at least twelve months of registration, or those acutely threatened by long-term unemployment.
The amount and duration of the subsidy are determined individually in coordination with AMS, depending on regional labor market policy requirements. Eligible expenses include all costs related to wages and wage-related charges, enabling companies to reduce investment risks and build stable personnel structures. At the same time, new professional opportunities open up for the subsidized individuals. Thanks to its continuous availability until the budget is fully utilized, this program represents a reliable pillar of labor market policy instruments. It makes a valuable contribution to social cohesion and the development of an inclusive work environment.
