The individual funding provided by the Baur Foundation offers comprehensive financial support to needy children, adolescents, and young adults up to 25 years of age residing in the Altona district. Public institutions and non-profit organizations typically submit applications through youth welfare facilities to specifically address individual needs. Funding is provided for learning materials, musical instruments, course fees (e.g., language or dance lessons), as well as therapy and treatment costs. The foundation covers 100% of the incurred expenses, provided that neediness is demonstrated in accordance with § 53 AO. There is no application deadline – grants can be applied for continuously – enabling flexible assistance for personal development and participation opportunities.

The following documents are required for the application: application form, a concise description of the funding need (max. 2 pages), the social assistance notice or proof of financial need, current pay slips or pension statements, the endorsement of a youth welfare facility, as well as a registration certificate. The funding is explicitly aimed at individuals whose income or benefits do not exceed the limits set forth in § 53 AO.
