Description

The EIRENE Foundation program enables international professionals to engage in Civil Peace Service as well as extended peace cooperation and to become active throughout Germany. It is aimed at qualified professionals with several years of work experience, strong social and intercultural skills, high frustration tolerance, as well as flexibility and resilience. The goal is to strengthen non-violent conflict resolution approaches in close cooperation with partner organizations, to enable socially marginalized people to participate in society, and to build sustainable structures for positive peace. Applications can be submitted at any time, and current job postings are continuously available online. Funding is provided in the form of a contribution to deployment and preparation costs and supports the development of expert knowledge as well as organized peace work in the global South and North.

Interested professionals are individually prepared for their overseas assignment, with internal and external training measures lasting between two and six months. Selection is based on professional qualifications, experience in peace work, and demonstrated commitment to non-violent conflict resolution. Required documents include a CV and a letter of motivation. The funding aims to foster sustainable cooperation that promotes democratic participation and strengthens social cohesion. The program offers a unique opportunity to contribute professionally to positive change and actively shape international peace projects.
