Description

ELER 2023-2027 Nature Conservation in Burgenland & Vienna
Within the framework of the EU country program ELER 2023-2027, the state of Burgenland together with Vienna supports nature conservation projects with a 100% grant. Eligible applicants include private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, public and educational institutions, as well as interest groups and other associations. Funding is provided for investments aimed at the preservation, restoration, and improvement of valuable habitats (measure 73-15), cooperation between at least two partners in nature conservation (77-02), and knowledge transfer in the form of plans, studies, training and further education, as well as awareness-raising (78-03). Ongoing applications are accepted until December 31, 2027, allowing projects with a maximum duration of 36 months. Eligible expenses include investment, planning, personnel, and material costs.

Target Groups, Access Requirements & Selection
A broad spectrum of nature conservation and environmental actors is addressed – from municipalities, nature conservation authorities, and research institutions to NGOs and individuals active in Burgenland or Vienna. Prerequisites include compliance with the Special Nature Conservation Directive 2023-2027, proof of professional competence and economic capacity, and in the case of land acquisition, registration of security via easement or real burden in the land register. For knowledge transfer projects, Ö-Cert or methodological-didactic qualification certificates are required. Evaluation is based on the contribution to directive objectives, quality and feasibility of project planning, cost and resource efficiency, as well as degree of innovation and cooperation. Project applications must be submitted via the AMA Digital Funding Platform. Interested project partners are invited to review funding opportunities and submit their proposals in a timely manner.
