Description

The Energy Efficiency Brandenburg program is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the commercial sector as well as municipal utilities and supply companies in the state of Brandenburg. It funds investment measures for the energy optimization of industrial and commercial plants and processes. The goal is to reduce final energy consumption or CO₂ emissions by at least 15% each, as well as to achieve an annual minimum saving of 5 tons of CO₂ equivalents. A prerequisite for funding is the completion of an energy audit according to DIN EN 16247 by an external auditor. The measure recommended in the audit report must be implemented as a priority and must demonstrate the required savings targets based on the audit calculations. Eligible expenses exclusively include investment costs for the optimization of process and plant technology.

Support is provided in the form of a non-repayable grant, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Applications can be submitted continuously to the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB). For the application, the complete energy audit report according to DIN EN 16247 as well as the official ILB application form must be submitted. The funding program is managed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Energy Brandenburg and aims to sustainably increase energy efficiency in the regional economy and advance climate protection.
