Description

The ERP VC Fund Investments and the ERP/Future Fund Growth Facility aim to sustainably strengthen venture capital and growth financing for technology-oriented companies in Germany and Europe. As a nationwide grant program, the funding measure invests indirectly in German and European venture capital and venture debt funds. By utilizing the ERP special assets and the Federal Future Fund, the innovation potential at the German location is promoted. Applicants must be approved as venture capital or venture debt funds, pursue a clear investment focus on technology-oriented growth companies, and comply with KfW Capital’s own ESG guidelines.

In the selection process, the fund’s technology orientation, sustainability aspects (ESG), as well as diversity and impact in the portfolio play a central role. The continuation of the application deadline without fixed cut-off dates allows for flexible submission at any time. Funds are supported that, in addition to attractive return opportunities, also make a measurable contribution to sustainable growth and diversity in the VC ecosystem. With this instrument, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, together with KfW Capital, supports the goal of providing innovative start-ups and scale-ups with long-term available risk and growth capital, thereby securing the future viability of the German economy.
