Description
The funding program for pilot and development projects in the field of nature conservation and landscape management supports innovative projects nationwide that directly test and further develop novel technologies and methods in practice. As a grant, it funds projects with a model character that vividly implement research results and generate a stimulus effect throughout the entire country. Eligible for funding are natural and legal persons with headquarters and business operations in Germany, including municipalities, research institutions, universities, associations, and non-profit organizations. Federal states are excluded. Requirements include, among others, a project that has not yet started, significance for nature conservation in Germany, and the implementation of exemplary procedures with model character. For the application, a project outline and a formal application must be submitted to the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation. Through funding by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), a platform for forward-looking nature conservation concepts is thus created.
