Description

The funding initiative supports public institutions, interest groups, associations, and non-profit organizations in the establishment and optimization of regional and multifunctional sports infrastructure facilities in Tyrol. With a non-repayable grant of up to 15% of eligible costs – a maximum of €2 million – modern sports venues can be realized that provide new impetus to grassroots sports and invigorate the regional leisure economy. Funding is provided continuously, and applications can be submitted at any time. The program aims to increase accessibility to high-quality sports facilities, strengthen local network structures, and sustainably improve the quality of life for the population in the Tyrolean regions.

Eligible applicants are municipalities, municipal associations, tourism associations, as well as clubs and legal entities whose shares are majority publicly owned and which operate on a non-profit basis. Prerequisites for funding include proof of a location of regional significance (in exceptional cases of municipal significance), the operator status of the sports infrastructure, and non-profit operation. Investments in new construction and the improvement of existing sports facilities are supported. For the application, the completed application form, a copy of the funding guidelines, specific ÖISS documents (e.g., for clubhouses, football fields, tennis courts, and LED floodlighting systems), as well as accounting documents are required. This funding creates contemporary sports venues that serve as multifunctional meeting places and sustainably strengthen grassroots sports throughout Tyrol.
