Description
Within the framework of the R&D Impulse Single, the state of Upper Austria specifically supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) according to the EU definition in the Upper Austria region in research & innovation. The program line easy2research promotes cooperative research and development projects together with R&D institutions through non-repayable grants. Additionally, the program line easy2market is dedicated to the market transfer of research results already funded under easy2research, thus shaping the technology transfer of pioneering developments. This initiative strengthens the innovation ecosystem, facilitates cooperation between industry and research institutions, and contributes to the implementation of forward-looking technology projects. Applicants benefit from clear framework conditions and a uniform funding type (grant) for projects in the period from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2026.
Applications are submitted exclusively online via the Upper Austria Business Portal. SMEs according to the EU definition are a prerequisite for funding; exact provisions can be found in the guideline “R&D Impulse Single 2024–2026.” Required documents are the completed online application form as well as the guideline itself. Funding is granted as de minimis aid; recoveries may occur in case of non-compliance with legal requirements (EU state aid law, national guidelines). Companies can submit applications repeatedly during the ongoing submission period to consistently transfer innovative projects from research to market. This program offers an attractive opportunity to build competence in research and development and to sustainably contribute to the competitiveness of the business location.
