Universities of Applied Sciences - Funding - State Contribution to Operating Expenses

The University of Applied Sciences funding in Carinthia provides a state contribution to cover the operating expenses of accredited and federally funded degree programs at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences Technikum Kärnten. The subsidy is exclusively directed to the non-profit private foundation of FH Kärnten and contributes to the long-term assurance of educational quality in the fields of education, training, and further education. The financing is based on a government session act and complements federal grants as well as municipal funding commitments. The data basis is formed by the annual financial statement of the respective funding year, which must be submitted by the end of June of the following year at the latest.

The review and approval are carried out at the discretion of Department 6 – Education and Sports of the Office of the Carinthian State Government. The continuous provision of this subsidy supports FH Technikum Kärnten in operating its degree programs at a high level and offering students a contemporary, practice-oriented education.
