Land Offer for Nature Conservation Measures (Non-binding Land Offer)

Within the framework of the land offer for nature conservation measures in North Rhine-Westphalia, private owners and companies can make agricultural or forestry land available to the Rheinische Kulturlandschaft Foundation on a non-binding basis. The aim is to promote cooperative nature conservation projects in the Rhineland through transfer into trust or long-term lease. Interested parties submit a completed data sheet by post, fax, or email – inquiries are possible at any time. The foundation assesses the suitability of the land for biodiversity and climate protection as well as its size and location.

Eligible for funding are agricultural and forestry enterprises that wish to secure the provision of their parcels permanently or through a defined trust agreement. A prerequisite is proof of agricultural or forestry ownership or lease arrangements, as well as the willingness to make land available long-term for nature conservation measures. The evaluation focuses on ecological suitability, the extent of the area, and the binding nature of the transfer. The completed form serves as the basis for project planning, without any associated financial benefits. This offer opens up long-term effective partnerships between land users and the foundation and thus contributes to the preservation and development of species-rich cultural landscapes.
