Description
The Butchery Promotion of the State of Upper Austria specifically supports small businesses with an active trade license to operate a butchery in Upper Austria. Funding is provided for investment projects that contribute to strengthening and securing the local supply for the population of Upper Austria in the long term. Eligible applicants are businesses with a maximum of 15 employees (full-time equivalent) at the investment location and in the respective municipality, as well as a maximum of seven business locations. The funding is granted in the form of a non-repayable grant or interest subsidy and can be used, for example, for new construction, modernization, quality improvement, expansion of offerings, or the takeover of existing businesses. This aims to strengthen regional structures and make high-quality food even more readily available in the future.
A prerequisite for funding is a coherent project description including cost, financing, and schedule plans, as well as secured financing of the project. Eligible expenses include fees for planning and consulting, conversions, extensions or new construction of buildings, acquisitions of operational and business equipment, as well as compensation payments in the case of business takeovers. The funding application must be submitted before the project start via the Upper Austria Business Portal and can be filed until 31.12.2026. For the application, the completed funding form within the framework of the Butchery Promotion guidelines and the detailed project description are required.
