Description

The Golden Sugarloaf Foundation awards outstanding young talents as well as dedicated institutions in vocational and further education in the food industry with prize money. Nationwide eligible for funding are private individuals up to 29 years of age with completed training or specialized studies from trade and industry in the food sector, as well as public, private, or non-profit institutions that are particularly committed to the professional development of young people. The aim of the funding award is to specifically support young professionals in their career development and to enable innovative further education or project initiatives. Projects are awarded within the framework of the foundation’s annual proceeds presented at the industry event “Golden Sugarloaf” and publicly recognized.

Requirements for individuals include a tabular CV, a motivation letter of no more than three pages (Arial 12 pt., margins 2.5 cm), certificates of school, vocational, or academic completion, as well as references; letters of recommendation are optional. Institutions must demonstrate their special commitment to the education and training of young people and document missing or insufficient third-party funding. Applications that have never or at most once before been submitted, as well as concrete plans for the use of the prize money, are required. The funding amount is up to €10,000 for individuals and up to €20,000 for institutions. Complete documents must be submitted bundled as a PDF by July 15, 2026. Interested projects benefit from a prestigious award and receive financial support for their next steps in the food industry.
