Funding Awards of the International Saxon Singers Academy Torgau Foundation – Hartenfels Castle (Academy 2026)

The International Saxon Singers Academy Torgau – Hartenfels Castle Foundation awards outstanding emerging vocal talents with sponsorship prizes of €500 each as part of the Academy 2026. The prizes are granted as recognition for musical excellence and artistic commitment and are awarded by a professional jury composed of lecturers and the foundation board. The winners will be announced at the festive closing concert on July 19, 2026. The aim of the sponsorship prizes is to honor young voices in the classical repertoire – from German art song through oratorio to opera – and to support their individual development.

Eligible for funding are individuals actively participating in the Academy 2026, especially students from German and international universities as well as young professional singers. A prerequisite for application is participation in at least three different Academy events with diverse contributions. Evaluation criteria include the artistic quality of the performances, their programmatic variety, and the continuity of participation in the course offerings. Due to the regional focus, the program is primarily aimed at vocal talents in Saxony but remains open to international applicants. The submission deadline is July 19, 2026.
