Description

With the funding of agricultural research, development, and innovation projects, the state of Upper Austria makes a targeted contribution to the advancement of research & innovation in agriculture and forestry. Eligible to apply are individuals, farmers, partnerships, companies, as well as non-profit organizations from the region that submit projects with a clear practical relevance. Applications can be submitted continuously – informally or based on a provided form – provided that the funding application is submitted before the project begins. The type of funding includes direct grants, which are flexibly adjusted according to project progress and verified costs.

The aim is to support initiatives that are expected to yield significant benefits and noticeable feedback effects on Upper Austrian agriculture. Basic requirements include a meaningful project description, a detailed cost and financing plan, and a written funding declaration; project-specific documents will be requested depending on the nature of the initiative. Disbursement is based on verified project progress and available funds. Upon completion, an accounting with invoices, proof of payments, and, if applicable, a report on the results achieved must be submitted. This measure thus offers all innovative initiatives the opportunity to sustainably establish production methods, technological innovations, and practice-oriented research approaches in Upper Austria in the long term.
