Eligible for funding are companies that train apprentices in accordance with § 2 BAG or § 2 para. 1 LFBAG, excluding public authorities and companies excluded from the procedure due to serious violations of the Vocational Training Act. The funding rate is 100%, and recognized expenses exclusively include the proportionally calculated apprentice remuneration during the foreign assignment. This measure contributes to improving the quality of training and supports companies in enabling their apprentices to gain international experience. The funding is available nationwide and is offered continuously, allowing interested training companies to benefit from this support at any time.

Applications are free of charge and must be submitted within three months after the end of the foreign internship. The legal basis is § 19c Vocational Training Act; processing is carried out through the apprenticeship offices of the Chambers of Commerce on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economy, Energy and Tourism. The aim of the funding is to facilitate cross-border mobility of young people to improve access to the labor market and to reduce youth unemployment in the long term. Trainers can find all necessary information and forms on the funder's website and can obtain detailed information there about requirements, deadlines, and submission procedures. This offer invites companies to expand training programs internationally and to optimally prepare young professionals for the global demands of the working world.
