Description
The promotion of the remediation of disaster damage to agricultural crops in Upper Austria supports agricultural enterprises and non-profit organizations in restoring their production capacities after uninsured damage caused by flooding or landslides. The objective is to secure the economic livelihood and supply security of those affected by partially covering the costs for the elimination of natural hazard damage to field, fruit, and vegetable crops. Eligible for funding are natural and legal persons – ranging from agricultural enterprises to association structures and religious communities – who submit an application through the responsible municipality or magistrate within 30 days of the damage occurrence. Prerequisites include an official damage assessment by the local commission, the existence of a special emergency situation, and proof of adequate own funds.
The grant is provided as a non-repayable subsidy and is awarded continuously as long as budget funds are available. Applicants should use the official form LWLD_LFW_E41_Katastrophenfonds_56e and attach the confirmation from the local damage commission. Minor damages as well as natural hazard damages up to a damage degree of 30% are excluded. Upon positive approval, funds are released promptly to enable rapid restoration and avoid long-term yield losses. Interested parties can find detailed information in the guidelines of the Department of Agriculture and Forestry of the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government.
