Description

The project funding of the Bernd Jung Foundation is aimed at clubs and non-profit organizations in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate that are specifically committed to innovative initiatives for children and youth in the areas of sports, education, and social affairs. The focus is particularly on projects in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Funding is provided exclusively in the form of grants for project-related material and personnel costs. Pure construction projects (e.g., conversion or renovation work, artificial turf facilities), personnel expenses without a specific project reference, as well as consumables and promotional materials (e.g., jerseys, flyers) are not considered. Eligible for funding are registered associations, interest groups, and other non-profit organizations that aim to enable sustainable participation for children and youth through their offerings.

An interactive PDF form is available for applications, which must be completed and submitted by July 31 of each year. Required documents include a detailed project description, a cost and financing plan, a current extract from the register, the statutes, proof of authorization to represent, as well as a valid exemption notice confirming non-profit status. The evaluation takes place after formal review and substantive assessment of the project. An obligation to provide proof of use ensures the correct application of funds. With this targeted funding, the Bernd Jung Foundation aims to strengthen committed project sponsors so that diverse offerings to promote physical activity, education, and social participation for young people in the region can be realized.
