Funding of the Citizens' Foundation Active Citizens (Borken, Stadtlohn & Surroundings)

The Active Citizens Foundation supports charitable and non-profit projects in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, with a focus on Borken, Stadtlohn, and the surrounding area. Through active participation and financial grants, initiatives are supported that directly serve the common good and enhance the quality of life locally. The focus is on diverse thematic areas such as social affairs, child and youth welfare, education and training, cultural and monument preservation, environmental and nature conservation, animal protection, as well as sports. The foundation operates independently of political and religious influences and places great importance on transparency in the use of funds. Annual reports provide information on the implementation of funded projects and encourage the involvement of committed citizens.

Funding is provided to non-profit organizations, interest groups, other associations, public institutions, and private individuals based or active in the Borken, Stadtlohn, and surrounding region. Applications for grants can be submitted at any time; there is no formal deadline. A prerequisite is that the project is oriented towards the common good and promotes civic initiative. Funding is particularly interesting for institutions and initiatives that strengthen civic engagement and further develop volunteer structures.
