Support for the Remscheid Community Foundation

The Bürgerstiftung Remscheid, as an independent non-profit institution, continuously provides grants and in-kind resources for projects that enrich the social fabric of the city. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, and associations based and active in Remscheid. The funding focus spans diverse thematic areas such as child and youth welfare, culture, education, science and research, environmental and nature conservation, as well as engagement for social cohesion and democracy. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing initiatives to be supported flexibly and promptly.

The funding objective aims to provide both idealistic and material impulses to sustainably anchor projects and strengthen local actors in their work. Eligible are projects incurring expenses in the form of project costs, in-kind and material costs, pursuing a non-profit purpose. In particular, initiatives in the fields of youth, culture, and social affairs benefit from the support, which is used to realize creative educational offerings, intergenerational meeting places, or innovative research projects. By providing financial means and practical resources, the foundation contributes to promoting civic engagement and maintaining a vibrant community in Remscheid.
