Description
The Citizens' Foundation Rheda-Wiedenbrück supports nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, as well as committed citizens residing in Rheda-Wiedenbrück through its ongoing project and individual case funding. Applications can be submitted at any time and are directed towards initiatives in the areas of education, health, social affairs, culture, sports, environmental and nature conservation, climate protection, research & innovation, as well as civic engagement for social cohesion and democracy. Only projects that are collaborative, impact-oriented, and sustainable, that involve voluntary engagement and actively include those affected, are funded. A direct connection to the city of Rheda-Wiedenbrück is always decisive in order to strengthen local structures and enable aid for self-help.
Eligible for funding, in addition to associations, schools, daycare centers, and youth centers, are also initiatives, groups, and individuals. Excluded are projects with profit-making intentions, partisan political or purely religious initiatives, legally mandated public tasks, and projects outside the region. Funding is granted as a non-repayable grant based on the following evaluation criteria: partnership, sustainability, impact orientation, voluntary engagement, and inclusion of those affected. For the application, a fully completed funding application, the consent to the use of personal data, and a subsequent proof of use are required. The decision is made by the board of the Citizens' Foundation. Funded organizations and individuals must provide proof of appropriate use of funds six months after completion of the measure. This transparent procedure ensures targeted support for local projects and outstanding individual cases.
