Description
Funding for Non-Profit Model Projects in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region is provided as a pure grant and is aimed at legal entities under public law as well as non-profit organizations in Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, and Rhineland-Palatinate. The Dietmar Hopp Foundation gGmbH supports projects with a model character in the fields of medicine/health, education, social affairs, youth sports, as well as environmental and climate protection. In particular, day-care centers, schools, colleges, universities, associations, foundations, and research institutions benefit from this funding. Projects should have a clear regional reference and contribute to the sustainable strengthening of the metropolitan region by setting exemplary impulses for healthcare provision, qualified training and education of young people, intergenerational participation, and environmental and climate protection.
Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis. Only projects that have not yet been implemented and whose project location is in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region are eligible for funding. A valid exemption certificate (§ 60a AO) and confirmation of non-profit status are required. The application must include a detailed project description, a detailed cost and financing plan, as well as the signed statutes or articles of association. To support applicants, topic-specific checklists are available for the areas of medicine as well as education, social affairs, and youth sports, which clearly define the formal scope and content requirements. Individual persons are not eligible to participate, and loans, loan guarantees, scholarships, and ongoing operating costs are excluded. The decision is made taking into account the model character, regional anchoring, sustainability, and non-profit purpose. The goal is a targeted start-up financing that generates long-term positive effects in the region.
