Funding from the Dr. med. Heide Paul-Toebelmann Foundation (Support for Needy Caregiving Relatives)

The Dr. med. Heide Paul-Toebelmann Foundation supports needy family caregivers nationwide who are physically and mentally heavily burdened due to their caregiving duties. The aim of this charitable institution is the regeneration of caregivers through financial relief in the areas of health, social affairs, and work & social services. Individuals can apply for a grant at any time, although there is no legal entitlement. The foundation supports caregiving relatives of all ages who wish to better manage their daily lives again through cures, recuperative measures, and respite care.

Funding is provided for cures and recuperative measures, co-financing of care costs to enable a cure, as well as cost subsidies for domestic care personnel. Prerequisites include proof of financial need through income statements or official notices, confirmation of the relationship to the care recipient, and that the recuperative measure has not yet been booked or completed. For the application review, receipts or cost estimates for the requested measures as well as a description of the individual living and care situation are also required. Transparent evaluation criteria – appropriateness of the measure, necessity due to the personal care situation, and available financial resources – ensure a fair allocation of funds. The application forms are available for download and can be submitted easily by post or email. This flexible funding approach supports family caregivers precisely at the moment when they urgently need a break and assistance.
