Description
The EDEN FOUNDATION for the Promotion of Natural Lifestyle and Health Care continuously supports research and educational projects in the fields of whole food nutrition and vegetarianism, ecological agriculture and horticulture, as well as naturopathy and holistic medicine. Eligible to apply are tax-exempt institutions in the German-speaking region with a focus on science/research or education; private individuals may be supported within the framework of scholarships. Funding measures are granted as subsidies, with both partial and full financing possible, provided that the overall project does not exceed the financial scope of the foundation. Projects must not already be completed to remain eligible for funding. The decision is made by the board of trustees twice a year, with the next deadline on May 8, 2026. Applications must be submitted electronically as a PDF no later than four weeks before this date.
Directly attributable expenses such as equipment costs, room rentals, and personnel costs are funded; overheads or program flat rates are excluded. A brief application summarizing the essential project data clearly is required for each submission. Additionally, the application guidelines and proof of tax exemption must be attached. By providing a detailed justification of all requested costs, the EDEN FOUNDATION offers planning security and a transparent funding decision. Interested institutions can find all forms and requirements on the foundation’s website. Early coordination of the planned project financing with potential co-financiers increases the chances of success and underscores the sustainability of the endeavor.
