Description
Support for Entry Qualification is aimed at companies nationwide that offer adolescents and young adults without an apprenticeship position a company-based entry qualification (EQ). The goal of this measure is to create a bridge into dual vocational training and to impart basic professional action competencies. Eligible for funding are employers who conclude an internship contract with trainees according to § 26 BBiG and carry out the qualification measure full-time or part-time (at least 20 hours per week). The funding covers the internship remuneration as well as lump-sum social security contributions with a subsidy of up to €247 per participant per month. Additionally, travel expenses can be recognized as eligible costs. The duration of the EQ ranges between four and twelve months, with the earliest possible start date being October 1, 2024. Applications can be submitted continuously to the responsible Employment Agency.
Particularly interested are companies that wish to provide disadvantaged applicants—such as those seeking apprenticeships with limited placement prospects, individuals with learning difficulties, or socially disadvantaged persons—with individualized practical qualification. A prerequisite for approval is, among other things, that participants are not subject to full-time school attendance and have not been compulsorily insured employees in the last three years. To apply, a signed internship contract, proof of remuneration and social security contributions, as well as the online application in the user account of the Employment Agency must be submitted. With this funding, the Federal Employment Agency not only supports the professional integration of young people but also offers companies the opportunity to get to know potential skilled workers early on and retain them in the long term.
