Description

The Eva Meurer Foundation is committed nationwide to realizing self-organized and self-determined housing models for older adults as well as intergenerational living communities. The focus is on innovative housing concepts that promote interaction among different age groups and strengthen community building. Projects are supported that not only create alternative forms of housing but also advance public relations, group formations, and the scientific accompaniment of novel elderly care and elderly education initiatives. Interested initiatives receive financial grants to develop pilot projects, exchange experiential knowledge, and establish sustainable structures in the long term. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing continuous support for new ideas.

Eligible to apply are private individuals as well as non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations whose projects have a clear focus on intergenerational inclusion and personal responsibility. Evaluation criteria include, in particular, the level of innovation of the housing concept, the involvement of different generations, and the planned scientific support. Target groups are older adults who wish to live in a familiar environment within a community, as well as projects that bring different age groups into lively exchange. Through this funding, the foundation contributes to developing new forms of living in old age that equally ensure independence, security, and social participation.
