Funding of the Evangelical Family Foundation Wolfsburg (Support for families in distress / Projects to strengthen families)

The Protestant Family Foundation Wolfsburg continuously offers financial grants in Lower Saxony for families residing in Wolfsburg who are experiencing acute emergencies. The goal is to provide rapid and unbureaucratic assistance through individual case aid, material benefits, or personnel cost subsidies. Furthermore, projects that strengthen the life skills of parents and children and make a long-term contribution to family education are supported. As a non-profit church foundation under public law, the Evangelical Lutheran Church District Wolfsburg manages a special fund whose proceeds are used exclusively in accordance with the statutes for social and educational measures. Through close cooperation with counseling centers, schools, associations, and kindergartens, a sustainable network is created that effectively supports families in difficult situations and pools resources.

Funding applications can be submitted informally at any time – for example, by social service institutions or educational providers. Required are a brief description of the current emergency (two lines), information about the family (name, number of members), the desired support amount, and bank details. The application must be submitted on the applicant institution’s own letterhead and should comprise about half a DIN A4 page covering the essential points of the needs description. An explicit proof of use is not required; however, feedback from the supported families and creative thank-you actions (e.g., self-designed cards) are expressly welcome. With this funding, the foundation makes a direct contribution to social participation and facilitates families’ access to necessary assistance without long waiting times.
