The Horst Rohde Foundation was established in 1996 to strengthen the positive interaction between humans and animals in North Rhine-Westphalia. As a member of the Association of German Foundations, it operates exclusively on a non-profit basis and continuously provides sponsorship funds. Projects supported include those in the field of animal-assisted therapies as well as initiatives in animal, environmental, and climate protection, energy efficiency, sports, culture & media, and charitable purposes.
