Description
The Horst Rohde Foundation fully supports nonprofit projects in the greater Munich area that focus on the positive interaction between humans and animals. Since its founding in 1996, the foundation has been committed to animal-assisted therapeutic methods such as therapeutic riding or work with therapy dogs and promotes initiatives in animal, nature, and environmental protection as well as sporting activities accompanied by animals. Grants are awarded transparently and without deduction of administrative costs, ensuring that all funds flow directly into the project work. As a member of the Federal Association of German Foundations, the board places special emphasis on sustainable impact and charitable purposes that combine social participation and health promotion.
Funding is exclusively provided to charitable or nonprofit organizations, associations, and foundations implementing projects in the fields of health, sports, environmental and nature conservation, animal protection, work & social affairs, culture & media, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection. A clear focus on positive interactions between humans and animals within the Munich metropolitan area is a prerequisite. The funding rate is 100%, and applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis.
