Description
Under the guiding principle "Bringing joy to children …", the Kurt Feirabend Foundation financially supports children and adolescents with physical and mental disabilities (degree of disability 80–100%) up to the age of 18 in the South Hesse region. Grants are awarded as subsidies and can be provided directly to affected individuals as well as to tax-privileged care institutions such as workshops for disabled persons. The funding amount can be up to 49% of the annual income of the applying institutions. Thanks to the voluntary commitment of all board members, every euro raised goes directly into supportive measures, resulting in approximately 750,000 euros in grants having been paid out in recent years.
Eligible for funding are private individuals as well as non-profit organizations operating in South Hesse that meet the verified degree of disability or the tax-privileged status of the institution. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing for timely decisions on support. The initiative aims to strengthen inclusion, bring joy to life, and implement needs-based offerings in social, educational, or therapeutic fields. This subsidy enables the financing of purchases, projects, or measures that would not be possible without additional funds. Interested applicants can obtain detailed information about the funding requirements and application procedure directly from the foundation.
