Description
Support for apprenticeship training provides standardized subsidies nationwide for expenses related to apprenticeship training in Austria, aiming to sustainably support the integration of young people into the labor market. Training companies receive financial relief for the costs of apprenticeship training as well as apprentice remuneration. This makes the professional qualification of young people more attractive and contributes decisively to reducing youth unemployment. The funding is based on the Labor Market Service Act and is continuously administered through the Austrian Public Employment Service (AMS). It targets accelerated placement of skilled workers and stable securing of skilled labor for domestic companies.
Companies authorized to provide apprenticeships under the Federal Apprenticeship Act (BAG) and based in Austria can submit applications at any time. All costs incurred for apprenticeship training as well as the remuneration paid to apprentices are eligible for funding. The goal is to motivate training companies to offer young people a solid vocational education and thereby secure the skilled workforce for the long term. The straightforward submission via the responsible AMS section ensures prompt processing. Interested companies can find comprehensive information and application documents at the Austrian Public Employment Service, which, as a national institution, oversees the implementation of this labor market measure and regularly publishes disbursements and impact analyses.
