Description
The nationwide available funding measure is aimed at companies and educational institutions authorized to train apprentices under the Vocational Training Act or the Agricultural and Forestry Vocational Training Act. A flat-rate subsidy partially offsets the expenses for apprentice wages, personnel, and material costs. The program aims to integrate disadvantaged groups into the labor market and to strengthen the willingness to provide training. In particular, the promotion of girls and women in occupations with a low proportion of females is emphasized to improve career opportunities in the long term and reduce youth unemployment.
Additionally, persons disadvantaged in the labor market, apprentices with extended training periods or partial qualifications, as well as adults over 18 who wish to improve their career prospects through vocational training or compensate for school dropout, are supported. A prerequisite for the grant is an application submitted via the eAMS account before the start of the apprenticeship or training relationship; the federal government, political parties, and certain institutions according to § 29 BAG are excluded. The funding duration is a maximum of 36 months with a monthly maximum subsidy of up to 900 euros. The measure has been in effect since 01.01.2013 and remains open until the funding volume is exhausted.
