Description

The Lisa Dräger Foundation supports nonprofit corporations in Schleswig-Holstein as a legally recognized grant-making foundation that implement projects for youth welfare and local history in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. The focus of funding is on cultural-historical initiatives, such as the preservation and operation of historic ships (including the krawel “Lisa von Lübeck” and the shipyard launch “SW2”) as well as the maintenance of accurate scale models of historic Lübeck buildings at a 1:30 scale. At the same time, social youth projects can be supported, such as therapeutic-educational and psychological care, early musical education, or animal-assisted pedagogy in public educational institutions. Further funding areas include regional development, monument protection, infrastructure, labor & social affairs, culture & media, as well as agriculture & rural development.

Tax-privileged organizations, interest groups, associations, and public institutions implementing projects in Lübeck are eligible for funding. Grants are awarded on an ongoing basis; applications may be submitted at any time, but there is no legal entitlement to approval. The funding purpose is primarily directed at children and youth in Lübeck youth facilities as well as their caregivers. A prerequisite is the nonprofit status of the applying entity and the execution of the project on site. The foundation acts exclusively as a grant-making foundation and channels funds directly to suitable organizations. Through this commitment, it contributes to strengthening the cultural heritage and the social support of young people in Lübeck by providing professional guidance and financial assistance.
