Description
The funding is aimed at interest groups and associations in Vienna that implement educational and cultural projects for indigenous ethnic groups. The focus is on offerings that particularly empower children and young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and expand their educational opportunities. Measures in the areas of education, culture, vocational training and further education, as well as labor and social affairs, are supported. The cultural heritage is to be preserved and the social participation of the ethnic groups promoted. Projects can range from small workshops to multi-year initiatives and are intended to contribute to sustainably increasing the performance and educational level of this target group. The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant and is not limited to a specific budget. With regard to inclusion and equal opportunities, the support of diverse formats that strengthen the identity and self-confidence of children and young people is the focus.
Associations may submit an application at any time, as there has been no deadline since 01/01/2013. A prerequisite for funding is the submission of a detailed project description as well as a detailed financing plan. For personnel costs, a standardized job description must be attached; additionally, a fully completed application form, the general funding conditions, and the guideline for funding accounting are required. Decisions are made continuously – there is no legal deadline for application submission. Experts from the Ministry of Education review the documents and allocate funds if the requirements are met. Proper accounting and reporting on achieved impact and use of funds are part of the funding agreement. This ensures transparent and sustainable projects that support children and young people of the indigenous ethnic groups in their personal and professional development.
