Description
The funding provided by the Renate Rennebach Foundation is aimed nationwide at non-profit organizations, educational institutions, public institutions, as well as companies, with the goal of addressing the consequences of ritual violence and scientifically researching destructive cult structures. Model, time-limited projects from the fields of social affairs, health, research & innovation, education, work & social issues, as well as initial and continuing education, may be submitted by postal mail at any time. Eligible for funding are projects with a pronounced innovative and model character that convince through detailed objectives, timeline, and cost planning and have no or only insufficient alternative financing. As part of the funding requirements, it must be ensured that the foundation is acknowledged as a supporter in all published results and measures, and that an independent and fiscally correct accounting is carried out. Individual case funding reviews may be permitted in justified exceptions; however, the focus is on institutionally embedded initiatives and research projects.
The application includes a brief description of the project (approx. 20–30 sentences), a comprehensive financial and timeline plan, as well as information on possible co-financing partners. The independent decision lies with a voluntary board, which meets twice a year and may also decide out of turn in urgent cases. Evaluation criteria include the innovative and model character, completeness of the documents, actual need for funding, as well as transparent documentation and accounting. Through this structured funding practice, the foundation makes a sustainable contribution to supporting those affected and to societal education about destructive cults and sects.
