Description
The Sparkassenstiftung Gifhorn-Wolfsburg for Culture and Social Affairs continuously supports non-profit projects in the district of Gifhorn and the city of Wolfsburg. In the fields of education, child and youth promotion, commitment to social cohesion and democracy, culture, environmental and nature conservation, sports, as well as vocational training and further education, legal entities such as associations, foundations, public institutions, or companies can apply for funding in the form of grants. With an endowment of eight million euros, the foundation aims to strengthen local initiatives and sustainably promote cultural exchange and social participation on site. The focus is on projects that deepen social cohesion or enliven cultural activities while taking into account the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
For the application, a machine-filled project description, a detailed cost and financing plan, a valid tax exemption certificate from the tax office, as well as quotes for the individual expenses must be submitted. Personnel costs, material expenses, and other project-related items are considered eligible for funding, whereas personnel and administrative costs, building maintenance costs, and measures already funded elsewhere are excluded. Funding applications must be submitted in writing to the foundation’s board and sent by email. The foundation board makes decisions monthly; applications must be received three weeks before the foundation council meetings (next dates: 13.03.2026 and 05.11.2026). The Sparkassenstiftung Gifhorn-Wolfsburg invites interested parties to submit their innovative concepts and thus contribute to the vibrant development of the region.
