Description

The Foundation of the Kreissparkasse Wiedenbrück in North Rhine-Westphalia is committed, with its long-standing tradition, to supporting regional initiatives. Since 1996, it has been funding projects in the fields of education, culture, social affairs, sports, environmental and nature conservation, climate protection, vocational training and further education, as well as labor and social services. With an endowment capital of around 4 million euros, it is one of the significant foundations in Westphalia-Lippe. The focus is on supporting registered associations, non-profit and charitable institutions whose activities are based in the business area of the Kreissparkasse and who have encountered financial difficulties due to the current energy crisis.

Funding is provided in the form of a grant of up to €5,000 and is aimed at organizations whose place of activity is in the municipalities of Herzebrock-Clarholz, Langenberg, Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, and Verl. To be eligible for funding, applicants must operate as a registered association, non-profit, or charitable institution or organization. Projects in the areas of youth and elderly care, mass sports, arts and culture, education and upbringing, customs and local heritage preservation, nature and environmental protection, healthcare, as well as science and research can be supported. In this way, the foundation makes a sustainable contribution to regional development and creates impulses to overcome the financial bottlenecks caused by increased energy costs.

Ongoing funding provides valuable financial support in times of economic challenges. Through the targeted use of the grant, projects that are particularly committed to the common good and largely unaffected by government aid are strengthened. The careful selection of project proposals reflects the foundation’s commitment to promoting regional identity and social cohesion. With this initiative, Kreissparkasse Wiedenbrück underscores its responsibility towards the people and institutions of the region and helps ensure that locally engaged organizations can continue to develop positively even in difficult times.
