Description
The GLAUBEN LEBEN Foundation in the Diocese of Trier supports nonprofit Catholic institutions within the Diocese of Trier year-round – including parishes, pastoral areas, associations, and religious communities – in the implementation of projects in the fields of education, training and further education, culture, child and youth work, as well as faith communication. Funding applications can be submitted informally, provided that a detailed project description and a concrete cost and financing plan are available at least four weeks before the start of the measure. Public funds must be used primarily; a personal contribution is required for full financing. The type of funding includes one-time or partial grants for material costs, expenses for materials and public relations work, as well as expense allowances and training costs for volunteer staff.
The aim of the funding foundation is the sustainable strengthening of church-related educational and upbringing work, family and adult education, cultural offerings, as well as youth and faith communication in the Diocese of Trier. Applications are evaluated based on the criteria of prospects for success and effectiveness, cost-efficiency, and personal contribution. Personnel costs for full-time employees, investments in facilities used only occasionally for church purposes, as well as commercial enterprises are excluded. The board decides freely on the funding commitment; there is no legal entitlement. Project sponsors benefit from a streamlined application process and may use the funding guidelines for orientation. Submission is possible at any time, provided the four-week deadline before the start of the measure is observed.
