Funding of the Foundation for Church-based Child and Youth Welfare (Foundation "For Young People.")

The "Foundation for Church-related Child and Youth Welfare – For Young People." supports projects and initiatives throughout Bavaria, particularly in the Diocese of Regensburg, that benefit children, adolescents, their families, and people with disabilities. As a foundation affiliated with KJF, it complements public and church funds with targeted grants to enable essential educational programs, therapeutic support measures, or inclusive leisure activities. This supports initiatives active in the fields of child and youth welfare, social services, rural development, and family support. Through the permanent use of income from the foundation’s assets, the foundation ensures a sustainable impact that is reflected in the long term within the institutions and services of Catholic Youth Welfare.

Non-profit organizations and public institutions based in Bavaria may submit applications continuously and request financial support. A prerequisite for funding is that public subsidies and church tax funds are not fully sufficient. The foundation operates with minimal bureaucracy and values projects that create a direct added value for young people—whether in the form of early intervention, school assistance, housing and leisure offerings, or specialized therapy programs. Applicants receive planning security for their projects through a transparent decision-making process. Since applications can be submitted at any time, a flexible funding window is created that responds to local needs and contributes sustainably to enabling equitable participation for disadvantaged target groups.
