Description

The funding provided by the Kulturlandpflege Foundation is aimed nationwide at owners, managers, municipalities, and non-profit organizations committed to nature conservation and cultural landscape management. With ongoing, open-ended funding opportunities, projects for the creation, maintenance, and preservation of ecologically valuable areas, hedges, wetlands, and other elements are supported. The goal is to strengthen ecologically significant structures in the agricultural landscape, promote biodiversity, and create a diverse landscape image. As a grant, the foundation complements own contributions and third-party funds and helps to implement sustainable measures in environmental and climate protection as well as rural development.

Eligible expenses include costs for plantings (hedges, field woods), establishment costs for biotopes and small water bodies, maintenance and upkeep, as well as material and equipment costs. A prerequisite for funding is ownership or management rights of the project area, the implementation of nature conservation or cultural landscape management work, and the submission of the official application form. The application requires a map sketch of the area, before-and-after photos, and a cost breakdown with a financing plan. Thanks to the possibility of submitting applications at any time, interested parties can prepare and submit projects flexibly and promptly.
