Funding of the Lebenshilfe Bonn Foundation

The Lebenshilfe Bonn Foundation continuously supports projects and initiatives in North Rhine-Westphalia that assist people with intellectual and multiple disabilities of all ages as well as their relatives. It provides financial grants for the construction and maintenance of barrier-free housing, for specialized facilities, and for measures in the areas of education, care, and leisure activities. A particular focus lies on adult education as well as care and support services for seniors with impairments. Furthermore, sporting activities and recreational leisure measures are promoted to strengthen participation in social and cultural life. Eligible for funding are both private individuals with proof of intellectual or multiple disabilities and non-profit organizations and public institutions that implement or operate corresponding projects. Applications can be submitted to the foundation at any time; prior registration is not required. In addition to proof of disability, a detailed project description forms the basis for evaluation. The selection process particularly assesses the efficiency of resource use and the long-term benefit for the target group. Through close cooperation with parents, legal representatives, and professionals, it is ensured that each initiative contributes precisely to improving quality of life. The foundation thus provides reliable support for committed initiatives that sustainably strengthen the inclusion and self-determination of people with disabilities.
