Description
The "Leipzig Helps Children" Foundation supports non-profit child and youth welfare, educational, and cultural projects with a focus on Leipzig twice a year. Applications can be submitted by associations, foundations, and public institutions that are based in Saxony and can provide proof of non-profit status. Eligible expenses are those incurred within the framework of the current funding guidelines for project implementation; subsequent costs or debt settlements are not covered. In selecting projects, the foundation’s board pays particular attention to alignment with the foundation’s objectives, sustainable impact goals, and the actual needs of children and young people with physical, mental, or economic disadvantages. The foundation values successful public relations work and reports on funded projects within the scope of non-profit events.
For an application, the following documents must be submitted via the online form no later than three months before the project start date: a detailed project description, a financing plan, and proof of non-profit status. Deadlines are February 28 for projects in the first half of the year and August 15 for the second half. After a formal review, the board decides on the funding commitment. The grant is provided in the form of a subsidy, which is managed in a fiduciary capacity by Mitteldeutsche Stiftungsmanagement gGmbH. Interested initiatives from Leipzig and the surrounding area can find all details on guidelines, application forms, and statutes directly on the website of the "Leipzig Helps Children" Foundation.
