Description
The trias Foundation supports non-profit projects, initiatives, and associations nationwide that address land issues, ecological measures, and communal living. Funding amounts typically range between €500 and €2,000, with particularly deserving individual cases receiving up to €5,000. By permanently securing land through hereditary building rights, speculation is avoided and space for innovative forms of housing is created. A special focus is placed on inclusive concepts for people with disabilities or refugee experience, who develop socially and ecologically oriented living spaces within communal housing projects. Additionally, nature conservation measures such as soil de-sealing, green roofs, and tree planting can be supported. Furthermore, grants for informational materials and the organization of events are possible.
A non-profit status is a prerequisite for application; project proposals must have a clear connection to the thematic areas of land, ecology, or communal living. The completed application form of the foundation must be submitted, as well as a financing plan and a cost-effectiveness calculation for housing projects. Eligible expenses include nature conservation measures, soil de-sealing, green roofs, tree planting, informational materials, and event organization. Excluded are, among others, furnishings of common rooms, project development costs for non-profit projects, measures without thematic relevance, and structural adaptations such as wheelchair ramps or care bathrooms. Awards are made on an ongoing basis and are guided by the degree of innovation, inclusion aspects, and ecological sustainability.
