Funding is provided to non-profit organizations, tax-privileged corporations, institutions, foundations, as well as legally independent entities that implement projects in the areas of volunteer work, civil courage, hazard prevention, life-saving, youth education, traffic safety, and fire protection. The funding program focuses on social innovations, the networking of diverse stakeholders, and the sustainable strengthening of volunteer structures.

A prerequisite for submitting an application is the non-profit purpose in accordance with § 52 AO, as well as a stringent conceptual and financial plan. Initial inquiries can be submitted continuously and at any time; a written document (maximum four pages) including the project description and financing plan must be provided. After review, project ideas are evaluated based on their innovative character, model effect, networking potential, and social relevance. For disbursement, a copy of the current corporate tax exemption certificate is also required. Long-term funding is granted only in exceptional cases to ensure targeted support for forward-looking projects. Through the open application period and continuous evaluation, the Versicherungskammer Foundation offers a flexible funding landscape for initiatives that aim to strengthen community life and sustainably enhance public safety.
